Our Story
Hello everyone! I’m a college student from China. My Chinese name is Liu Shiyuan, and my English teacher gave me the English name William. I founded my doll brand in March 2024 and started my entrepreneurial journey by selling on eBay. This business has allowed me to support myself through college without relying on my family—this feeling of independence is absolutely amazing! All my dolls are original and launched exclusively by me online, and every single one is handcrafted with love! Examples include Jinx dolls, Hatsune Miku dolls, Alastor dolls, Akita Neru dolls, and more. The goal behind my brand is to create dolls featuring the unique characteristic of button eyes. Each doll has its own story and personality, letting everyone see a bit of themselves in these creations and feel a sense of belonging! As I mentioned earlier, making these dolls has given me financial freedom during college—I don’t have to work for anyone else. That’s why I’ve also launched a variety of doll material kits and tutorial videos. With these resources, anyone can create our dolls! I want to help students like me and those who can’t easily work outside the home gain an income, support themselves, and achieve financial freedom too!
The inspiration for starting my doll brand came when I first began my eBay journey. At that time, the anime Arcane: League of Legends was a huge hit. I thought, “Why not sell toys related to this anime?” And I absolutely loved Jinx from the show! Back then, all the Jinx dolls on the market were mass-produced by factories—lifeless and identical. That’s when I had the idea: “Why not make one myself?” A handcrafted doll like that would be one-of-a-kind in the entire world—truly unique! So I took action. My girlfriend and I bought lots of fabric and materials online, learned various sewing techniques from online tutorials, and finally, we successfully made our first doll: the Jinx doll! We showed it to our friends and received tons of praise. That’s when I knew for sure—instead of selling products from other suppliers, I should sell my own handcrafted dolls. We listed it on eBay for $120, and to our surprise, someone bought it within a day of listing! We increased our stock, and it sold out again in just one day! Later, in a single month at the end of 2024, we sold nearly 50 dolls, with total sales reaching almost $6,000! This further strengthened my determination to sell my own handcrafted dolls. Subsequently, we launched Hatsune Miku dolls, Akita Neru dolls, Alastor dolls, and many others. I’m also a very self-reliant person who doesn’t want to rely on my family. So I thought, “Can I help others who need money earn an income too?” Because there’s a Chinese saying: “One person’s wealth isn’t true wealth—bringing prosperity to everyone together is true wealth!” That’s why I’ve launched doll material kits and tutorial videos, allowing anyone to make these dolls and sell them as a side hustle. Even if you don’t want to sell them for extra money, the joy and sense of accomplishment from making a doll yourself with the kit and tutorials is something I’m sure many people will love!
